Ranking Every Beyoncé Renaissance World Tour Costume and Outfit

Looking as good as Beyoncé does on her global Renaissance Tour could easily cost a billion dollars, and judging by the jaw-dropping ensembles she showcased, it’s safe to say she might have come close.

Throughout the summer of ’23, Beyoncé captivated audiences with her flawless stage performances, leaving a trail of awe-inspiring moments with her grand production, powerhouse vocals, and an extravagant wardrobe designed to outshine even the brightest disco lights. Her collection of outfits represented the crème de la crème of both renowned fashion houses and lesser-known artisans, and describing it as merely impressive would be an understatement. As Beyoncé and her fellow performers graced the stage, they donned a staggering 140+ outfits during her journey from Sweden (where she debuted the unforgettable LOEWE bodysuit) to her final stop in Kansas City, concluding the tour just before announcing a new film documenting this historic adventure.

Credit for this fashion extravaganza goes to the dedicated team of stylists including Shiona Turini, Julia Sarr-Jamois, Karen Langley, and KJ Moody, who enabled Beyoncé to achieve a whole new level of style that managed to feel both innovative and nostalgic. Her wardrobe paid homage to iconic looks from her music videos and past performances, all while demanding the very best from fashion giants such as Jimmy Choo, Fendi, Versace, Marc Jacobs, Pucci, Gucci, and many others. Beyoncé also made a point of celebrating the work of Black designers, featuring creations by Feben, Maximilian Davis for Ferragamo, Olivier Rousteing for Balmain, Ibrahim Kamara for Off-White, LaQuan Smith, and her own Ivy Park line.

Each outfit undoubtedly involved painstaking attention to detail, making it an almost impossible task to evaluate and rank the multitude of incredible ensembles. Nevertheless, we undertook the challenge, meticulously ranking these custom masterpieces from “excellent” to “absolutely breathtaking.”
