Capturing 1,000 Moments with the Google Pixel 8 Pro: AI, User Interface, and Pro Features

Priced at $999, the Google Pixel 8 Pro proves its photography prowess with a 50-megapixel f/1.68  primary sensor. In general, it delivers sharp subject rendering, well-balanced colors without excessive saturation, and can sometimes create an illusion of images from a more substantial camera. However, it’s vital to keep in mind that Google primarily specializes in software, occasionally delving into hardware. For every picture it captures, it equips you with two AI editing tools, ready to enhance its hardware’s capabilities or craft scenes that might not be entirely true to reality.

In the latest installment of my YouTube series, Full Frame, I embarked on a mission to amass 1,000 photos using the Pixel 8 Pro. From recording 4K, 24FPS videos of the autumn scenery in upstate New York to capturing ultrawide macro shots of my own eyes, I thoroughly tested this system.

It should come as no surprise that the software and user interface offered the most satisfying aspects of the experience. However, I was disheartened to observe that Google still grapples with a longstanding challenge: maintaining consistent color accuracy. For more insights on this, check out the video above.”
